Tire Cons

They wander and squirm. Terrible traction in corners. They roll outside in corners. Unpredictable handling. Hard to control.

I recently purchased 2 G-Max AS-03 tires, size 275/40ZR20XL106W BSW for the rear of my 2010 Camaro SS. I have never owned a tire with such poor handling. They wander on straightaways, requiring almost constant correction. They wander terribly across bumps. They roll to the outside in corners. At 40MPH, on a posted 40MPH offramp, with NO warning, and a clean dry road, the back tires started to break away, causing Stabilitrac to keep the car under control. That was not a fun feeling. I have less than 500 miles on them, and will NOT use them anymore. In my opinion, these tires are unsafe. I swapped them out under warranty for another tire from Continental (same company). Let's hope the new tires are better than this...but then again, they'd have to be. It seems like the sidewalls are WAY too flexible. Did some bad tires make it out of the factory?

Tire Pros

All season handling

Tire Cons

Excessive and uneven tire wear

the GMax tires were very good initially but don't come close to the 420 wear rating advertised. Once these start to wear they become cupped and very noisy very quickly. And, yes the car received a four wheel alignment at the time of installation.

Tire Pros

Very good ride.

Tire Cons

They don't corner as good as a summer tires, thin sidewalls.

I love these tires for the ride they provide but it takes away from the handling of the summer tires, but they do very well in the winter even with light snow, I use them as a winter tire but now there are several different all season tires out there that corner better.

Tire Pros

Price is competitive. Nice tread wear.

Tire Cons

None so far.

Had installed at DT in town almost two years ago. Mileage is my first concern. Nice all season tire and I have managed to squeeze 62000 miles out of this set. Will need to replace within the next 2-3 months. And will be purchasing the same set. I drive mostly highway, 120 miles a day. No complaints about this tire choice from me. The OEM Pirelli P-Zero the car came with, lasted 40,000 miles. Which is more than most Camaro owners were able to get out of theirs. That is to say, I drive sensibly the majority of the time.
