Tire Pros

Good all-around performance, did well in light snow of Southern California.

Tire Cons

Tread life is far less than expected. Full replacement needed at less than 18,000 miles.

Disappointed in the tread life of these tires. They came standard on new 2014 MB GL350. Handle well, both dry, wet, and light snow. Noise level is low for this type of tire. Even with proper 5,000 mile increment rotations and regular pressure checks, the tread didn't last 18,000 miles. Will not buy again, am replacing with Michelin LTX.

Tire Pros

These tires are replacements of the original equipment on the vehicle. They are quiet and ride well.

Tire Cons

Life expectancy of these tires is short at around 20,000 miles

The Continental Tire for a large SUV as the MB 450 GL provides an excellent ride, quiet, reliable performance. A great tire for a heavy vehicle. Life expectancy is short at 20,000 miles. A result of the soft rubber found in a performance tire on a heavy SUV. Overall we are very pleased with the performance of this tire and with Discount Tire.

Tire Pros

Very quiet ride. Much quieter than Pirelli.

Tire Cons

Extremely poor tread life. Horrible winter/snow performance.

Had these tires for only 26K miles. Rotated regularly. No off road or extreme use and tread is shot. Not shot on one tire, but on all four. Ridiculous that we will have to purchase another set. Will never buy Continentals again. There is a reason why they do not offer a tread life warranty. You could put these on your car, drive for 10K miles and the treads could be shot and you are out of luck. These tires, because we made the mistake of relying on them, caused an accident on snow. DO NOT BUY.

Tire Pros

Great tire. Quite and smooth. Very safe.

Tire Cons

Tread wears quickly and costly tire.

These tires are very good. They are very safe and they are quite and smooth. Bad side is they are soft therefore tread is lost quicker and they are expensive.

Tire Pros

Quiet, good traction in rain, nice ride

Tire Cons

Poor tire life but consistent with other brands for this size tire on a heavy SUV such as a GL450

At 30,000 miles the tire tread is near it's wear bar. I am very happy with the tires per performance but disappointed with the tire life. After comparing with friends who drive the Mercedes GL450 and GL320 we are similar in wear to most high end tires. I am happy that we are not required to use run flat tires which are almost twice as expensive to replace. I was told that the Nitto tire model # 14252 had a 60,000 warranty but the tire is on national backorder.
