Tire Pros

Good handling. Good DAMP traction (not standing water).

Tire Cons

Noisy,poor WET (standing water)traction. Price.

These are OEM tires on the Focus ST. It is a tire designed for dry, summer performance and they perform those duties beautifully. For them to handle great, they sacrifice things on the other side of the performance spectrum like, hydroplaning resistance, tread wear, noise, etc. This is my third hot-hatch and I've tried a few different tires each from Falcon, Kumho, and Dunlops. The F-1 seems to be at least as good as the best from the afore mentioned brands. I may try a Continental next. I like the handling. I started getting significant noise at 2100 miles but at 9000+ miles now, the noise level is about the same. Tread ware is pretty good for a 280 UTG considering how easy and fun it is to slide the ST.

Tire Pros

excellent dry weather handling, super quiet on highways.

Tire Cons

price, any humidity in the morning will cause wheel slip.

bought the car with the tires new (400mi on odometer). drove for 9 months 165 mile round trip 5 days a week. front tires wore down from 9/32nds to 4/32nds. rear tires wore down from 9/32nds down to 8/32nds. rotated tires front to back only. hoping for similar wear over the next 6+ months. if so i will buy all season Eagles by late summer.
