Tire Pros

Phenomenal Price to Performance Ratio

Tire Cons

None so far

Coming from a touring tire there simply is no comparison to a summer tire. This tire inspires confidence no matter what your driving style. It has improved braking significantly, improved handling, cornering, and even acceleration by my guesstimate of 20hp. I don't know about my gas mileage gains or losses yet but will report back after a few more thousand miles. Since this is a summer only tire you MUST have a separate set of tires for winter, preferably a dedicated set of winter only tires for sustained temps below 45°.

Tire Pros

They are round

Tire Cons

Traction in all conditions

I have 175K miles on my car and these have been the worst tires I have owned. I did not even get 12K miles out of these tires. I do mostly highway driving, and usually get between 20k to 30K out of other summer tires ranging from Hankook to Michelin. I know they are summer tires and are supposed to wear fast and be sticky. I expected these tires to at least have good traction, especially with how fast they wore, but was very disappointed. I do my own rotations every 5k miles , so the treadwear warranty does not apply. It says on the Cooper website these have a 20K mile warranty. I do track days and autox in my BMW E30, and try to buy quality summer tires for both vehicles.

I installed these tires on the stock wheels for my 2011 WRX. We were headed for a trip so I mounted the wheels on my highly modified 08 Wrx 5dr. These tires are incredible. I would definitely recommend and will be buying another set for sure!

Tire Pros

Cornering Wet traction Dry traction Braking

Tire Cons

Tread life - terrible

I was pretty stoked on these tires when I first got them. I'm not the most aggressive driver but will put the bimmer to the test in the corners and these tires performed admirably. Braking was very good, both dry and wet traction is quite good as well. Problem? Even for the price these tires have terrible value due to tread life. I am down to 3/32 after about 25,000 KM (so what's that, 16,000 miles or so?). I had a blowout on one on the highway because they were down to the wear bars and this was on my second summer driving them! They might be good for throwaway auto-x drivers who are looking for a cheap tire with good performance, but there is much better value out there elsewhere. Maybe the cornering won't be quite as good, but I'd rather my tires last at least 30,000 miles if not more. In short, would not recommend.
