Tire Pros

Handle great in a few inches of snow

Tire Cons

None Provided

Purchased these tires to install on my 2003 Mustang (RWD) and added 100 lbs of sand to the trunk. Although there hasn't been much snow this Winter in SW Ontario, Canada they have performed very well. On the days when there were a few inches of unplowed snow on the road I was unable to lose control when trying to at full throttle, just slight fish tailing back and forth but couldn't throw out the back end. But no problems when driving normally, I'd see a few cars in the ditch where there was black ice but I didn't even notice any on these tires. They may be getting a little nosier after the first 1500 miles or maybe it's warmer out now so that's why they are louder than when they were first purchased.

Tire Pros

snow traction is excellent, Kevlar belts deter punctures

Tire Cons

sidewalls not thick enough, causing some side to side movement

This is my second set of General Altimax Artic tires for winter. My 2004 Mustang is my daily driver, year round. I live in Kentucky now but I first bought them when I was living in Iowa. I do not have them studded, I feel very confident that I can drive through most winter obstacles, I've driven through 6 to 8" deep snow and kept going. Driving smart I have all confidence in these tires.
