Tire Pros

better gas mileage than my run flats

Tire Cons

none

I had run flats on my mini cooper and the service man at discount recomended that I consider going with regular tires in the interest of a smoother ride and better gas mileage. He was absolutely dead on right. What a difference! Much less expensive than run flats and a beter ride.

Tire Cons

Since putting these tires on my Prius, the average mileage has dropped 10% city and 25% freeway.

I was warned by a Toyota Prius dealer that these would cause a loss in fuel mileage. I didn't believe him because of the great mileage performance I have gotten in the past with my Corvette and Escalade automobiles. I am not satisfied with the poor fuel mileage I am getting now.

Tire Pros

Tires seem to be wear better than the prior sets of energy saver tires.

Tire Cons

No cons...

The Michelin energy saver tires on the Prius seem to be doing well and holding up better than the prior two sets of non-Michelin energy saver tires. The car handles well and there is not any notable road noise. I expect to get another set when these need to be replaced.

Tire Pros

Long Tread Life Energy Efficient

Tire Cons

Expensive

I did a lot of research looking for replacement tires for our 2007 Prius. These tires are made for BMW, but are supposed to be good with all cars too. I drove from Fresno to Salt Lake and got about 60 MPG on the highway all loaded up with the family. Wife drives it around town as daily driver running kids and errands. She gets 35 MPG. We drove it from Fresno to Anaheim and got 50 MPG. Only time will tell if the tires hold their tread and there has not been a drastic improvement in MPG maybe +2.
