Tire Pros

Excellent in snow, sleet, flooding and any/every driving condition the weather conditions have thrown our way.

Tire Cons

None

Completely satisfied with the tires. My ride is smooth and steady no mattter how the weather may change. Purchased another set for my Mother who loves them just as much. Breeze through rain and snow conditions.

Tire Pros

Great wet, snow and ice traction.this car is very light weight, but these tires allow it to feel like its AWD. I've been sold on snow tires for life.

Tire Cons

None.

I bought these for a 1998 Chevy Prizm for the winter as I'd be commuting quite a bit for work. These tires have been great! The wet traction, ice traction, and snow manuevability has been unreal. Never stuck, never sliding, always in control. This car is very basic; no ABS, no traction control, no stabilitrac. But with these snow tires I've never had any worries of losing control or sliding.

Tire Pros

Tenacious ice and snow grip. Leave awds with all seasons behind in really bad condition.

Tire Cons

Loud. Did I say loud? If you need great grip, it is worth it.

If you need super ice and snow grip, this is your tire. If you don't need super ice and snow grip, may be able to find a better compromise between noise and grip, i.e. leave off the studs or use studless, like Blizzak. We have run Blizzaks on the same FWD car, the studded Altimax is superior to Blizzak on snow, deep snow, and ice, period. Have had to stop and start on steep local ski road and driven right by spinning subarus at stand still with these tires. For dry road days, you pay for the grip with a lot of road noise. For our steep, icy approach road, driveway and winter lifestyle, happy to have the grip.
