Just bought my second set of these tires today. The first set replaced the tires which came with the Duramax. I cannot remember the brand. I have been in the in the Oil and Gas business for 28 years, own a ranch and hunt. I put alot of highway miles on tires, but I am also off road and on caliche roads more than 95% of the people in Texas. These tires are extremely quiet and smooth, yet offer enough traction to 4x4 in some very tough areas. Last set I drove for 53K miles and could have maybe done 60+k on them. I just do not like changing flats in the middle of nowhere. Amazing thing is I was the King of the sidewall flat before getting these tires. Not a one to date since putting them on the truck. Buy them with confidence!

Well, I feel I can give a fair rating now that my tires are almost ready to replace. I have 51,000 miles on them and they have been flawless. I rotate them around every 10,000 miles. They stay in balance unlike the BF's I use to run. These tires are far better than BF goodrich. I never found out how many miles I could get from the BF's because they always went "out of round" before they wore out....thats how I got the goodyears, because I was tired of the tires shaking all of the time and when I went back to Discount (4th time) they covered two of the tires under warranty so I applied the credit to the purchase of 4 Goodyears. I have been all smiles since then. I am going next week to get 4 new goodyears. I also pull a 15,000lbs trailer a lot and still got the tire wear they said I would get. Great tire!!

Replaced Goodyear Wrangler HP with the Silent Armor...wanted something more aggresive for occasional off road/beach/winter weather driving. So far excellent. No road noise, exceptional on ice/snow and sandy beach....does pretty good in slick mud but stay out of serious mud! These tires seem exceptional for the driving they are designed for...

i have had very bad luck with Good years in the past so its been a long time since i've had any ( i'm a BFG lover ), however i recently purchased a used wrangler that had a new set of these good year on them, and while i'm still skeptical on good year i am sold on these, perfect tire, just got our first big snow of the year in Minnesota and they are unstoppable, i also have a cherokee with BFG's and there is no comparison, the Good Year silent armor is the perfect tire !!!

These tires are hands down the best tires I've ever owned in 25 yrs driving. I have done a lot of snow driving in both Colorado and Pennsylvania and they have been unstoppable in the snow. Even friends with other 4WD vehicles (03 Dodge Ram, etc.) have been very impressed. Wet/dry traction is excellent. Quiet but not the quietest (they are A/T's after all). Stay balanced (rotated about every 4,000mi). I would definitely buy these again.

2007 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner Sport After replacing several tires for being defective I have found myself once again having issues. In town ride is very grabby side to side, and the highway speeds shimmy and shake like I would be riding 44 swampers. The kind folks at discount have either gotten tired of seeing more or are ready to do the right thing and replacing these with BF all terrains. I know every tire has some typ eof drwaback, but after 2 other sets of BF dont let the salesman snook you into these, The Goodyear will turn into a badyear... they need to get back to the basics and make a tire that turns and rolls true

I bought these Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor LT265/75R-16(E) tires from Discount Tire one year ago to replace the OEM LT245/75R-16(E) tires and so far I am extremely satisfied with them. They are just as quiet as the OEM Bridgestone V-Steel tires that came on the truck from the factory and traction is EXCELLENT in all driving conditions especially in deep snow. So far with 18,000 mile they show minimal wear and look like they will go way past the 60,000 miles in their warranty. Fuel economy is comparable to the OEM tires as long as I keep tire pressures at 60 psi or higher. Below 60 psi the fuel economy does suffer some. I highly recommend these tires.

I was looking for a good all terrain tire to replace the stock General's on my 2005 Ford F-150. I was looking for something preferably with a little more aggressive tread pattern and a little thicker skinned. The stock generals had poor snow traction and were prone to rock punctures. It was a toss up between the silent armor's and the Goodrich TA's. I went with this tire because of the reviews stating how quite they are when driving at highway speeds on freeways. I will have to agree they are very quite for a seemingly aggressive tread pattern and could not tell much difference than the stock generals. Traction in light mud on these tires are excellent. Highway handling is responsive and accurate. Have yet to drive in snow but soon I may get my chance. I bought a 'C' rated tire which gives somewhat of a stiffer ride, but that was to be expected. Tire wear so far is great with no issues at 6500 miles driven. This is not a cheap tire and it certainly doesn't perform like one. Goodyear did a great job with this tire, and I would at this point buy another set when these wear out.

Truck has lots of power, was always skittish in the rear, especially when pavement is wet. These Goodyear Wrangler LT tires handle beautifully on wet pavement, almost as good as the dry. Near home, there's a hill with a stop sign at the top, and I have to turn right after the stop, going up hill. When the street was wet, I used to click into 4-Wheel drive to get around that corner, but NO MORE! Now it's as if there was no water there. The tires are also much quieter and smoother than the BFG All-Terrain TA's that I replaced with these. Also excellent off-road; we're super-satisfied with this tire.
