We put the A/T II's on a crew cab chevy 4x4 with the duramax diesel. Obvisouly, this is a very heavy truck so I was concerned with the wear of an A/T tire. However, after 20k on the tires, the treadlife is amazingly close to new. Off-road the tires did quite well. Even with the heavy front end and light rearend of my truck, the tires performed great in slick muddy fields. I almost got stuck once, but the tires slowly keep digging until we got out! On-road performance is awesome for a quiet, smooth ride. The only complaint I have is under hard braking. While the truck stops well, it seems that the tires skid more than I expected. Keep in mind I do have a very heavy truck and this happened twice under severe braking (slamming on the brakes). Overall, I will buy these again (if they ever wear out). Most of the 20k miles have been on the interstate and some even pulling a heavy trailer.

I have a big diesel Ford Excursion that I have commuted to work in downtown Dallas and driven all over my hunting lease. Bought these tires because I was tired of road noise from the BF Goodrich's that were on it. They are amazingly quiet and smooth in the city and on the highway. they have performed well off road except in mud, where they do not have enough bite to navigate muddy ranch roads without getting stuck. Great highway tire, but if you really need to get off-road, you will need a more aggressive tread pattern than the LTX A/T 2's.

Every once in a long while a product comes along that is of such high quality that it earns your brand loyalty forever. The LTX AT2's are by far the best tires I have ever owned. You pay a premium price but the value is tremendous. I have 89,000 miles on the set that are on my Nissan Titan. The fellow at Discount predicts that I still have 3 or 4 rotations before having to replace them....so I'll probably have 110 to 115 on them before a new set is needed. They are quiet, good handling, good in the rain, good off road, and have fantastic treadwear life. As long as Michelin is making the LTX AT2's, I will never buy anything else.

I hate reading reviews written after just a few weeks, so I waited to write this review until I had over 30k miles on these tires. I wanted an all terrain tire biased towards street use, but one that was usable off road, particularly in muddy conditions. this has been a great street tire, good ride, quiet, no loss of mileage, pretty good handling, and excellent treadwear. Off road performance has been acceptable. It's not a mud terrain, and I didn't want a MT, but it has gotten me through everything I needed it to, so I'd say it's done exactly what it's advertised to do. My only complaint is that these tires do not stay balanced. Every 6-7k miles I'll get a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel and through the seat, so I take them in anf get them re-balanced, and all is well for another 6-7k or so. Rotations have been performed every 5k, and the tires are wearing evenly, so I don't have any idea why they're so prone to going out of balance.

I drive in seven southwest states for my job and travel all year. Through mountains, flat land, heat, rain, snow, and ice, this tire has surpassed my expectaions. With 82,000 miles now on this set, I am finally having to replace them. In 37 years of driving, I have never had a set of tires that performed as well as these have. Whether towing my 7,000lb trailer or running empty, I have always had full control. They run quiet, smooth, and do not hydroplane.

These are awsome tires. Well worth the money if you are looking for that tire that will give you a smooth quite ride and still have plently of traction for off road. This tire has the best of both. Highly recommended!

I wanted to take a minute and review these tires because of my recent experience with them. When they were originally installed, I felt like they were solid tires, but not really worth all the $$$ that I spent for them. After having them rotated and balanced at 6500 miles, my truck developed a "shimmy" in the steering wheel, rocking right and left between the speeds of 55-70mph. I took it back to Discount Tire and after 2 hours of thoroughly balancing the tires, I was good to go. Once I got back on the highway, it was like driving a new truck. It was better than when they originally installed the tires! Now I feel confident in my purchase and would spend the $$$ again on the next set, assuming they have the longevity that I am looking for. MORAL OF THE STORY: These are great tires, and if you feel that they aren't, make sure they are properly balanced, and inflated.

As another reviewer mentioned, I've had trouble balancing these tires as well. I get a bad vibration between 40 - 70 mph. I've had the vehicle checked for alignment and it was perfect. After 3 rebalances it's time for a change. Discount tire service is still the best!

Wow! What can I say. I relplaced the Good year RTS that came on my Durango. Now after driving on them for just short of a year. I have driven in mud, snow and highway this tire performs perfectly on all surfaces. Living in MN you see all of the conditions a tire could see. This is the smoothest, quietest, sure handling tire I have ever owned. With my old tires I would have to be in 4wd always in snow. With these tires no need to take it out of 2wd. It grips the road even in snowy conditions. I recomend this tire to anyone looking for a great tire for all conditions!

I was worried about the tire noise from the looks of the tread pattern but I have found it to be extremely quiet and rides better than I ever thought possible. Absolutely without a doubt the best tire I've ever owned. I won't buy anything else again as long as this tire is available. I've pulled a 35 foot horse trailer with them and been driving in the snow in Santa Fe, NM and the traction is perfect and it's great on wet pavement as well. Can't say enough good about this tire. I usually don't write reviews but this tire warrants the effort. If you are looking for a quite comfortable ride that gets great traction in snow and water as well as dry pavement...look no further.
