Every once in a long while a product comes along that is of such high quality that it earns your brand loyalty forever. The LTX AT2's are by far the best tires I have ever owned. You pay a premium price but the value is tremendous. I have 89,000 miles on the set that are on my Nissan Titan. The fellow at Discount predicts that I still have 3 or 4 rotations before having to replace them....so I'll probably have 110 to 115 on them before a new set is needed. They are quiet, good handling, good in the rain, good off road, and have fantastic treadwear life. As long as Michelin is making the LTX AT2's, I will never buy anything else.

I have been very happy with this tire. I purchased them following the OEM BF Goodrich Long Trail tires. I was interested in a tire that could do minor off road duty, but have a above average ride on the highway. I drive ALOT with work, so you can appreciate how ride quality and longevity are to me. Here is my honest feedback. This is a great tire on the road, very quiet, superior wet traction, and outstanding even tread wear. The key is to keep them properly inflated. They got a bit overinflated and it immediately became evident when taking off on a wet road. Cost always seems to be a topic on here. The comparison would be to Goodyear SilentArmor AT, and BF Goodrich AT... Pretty close overall. Don't look to take these tires into deep snow or mud, as they are not designed for this purpose. Light duty off road, you will be in good shape. Lastly, tire wear, I have 45k+ miles on them now and have roughly 30k+ more tread life remaining. I have rotated every 9k miles. Hope this helps.

I hate reading reviews written after just a few weeks, so I waited to write this review until I had over 30k miles on these tires. I wanted an all terrain tire biased towards street use, but one that was usable off road, particularly in muddy conditions. this has been a great street tire, good ride, quiet, no loss of mileage, pretty good handling, and excellent treadwear. Off road performance has been acceptable. It's not a mud terrain, and I didn't want a MT, but it has gotten me through everything I needed it to, so I'd say it's done exactly what it's advertised to do. My only complaint is that these tires do not stay balanced. Every 6-7k miles I'll get a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel and through the seat, so I take them in anf get them re-balanced, and all is well for another 6-7k or so. Rotations have been performed every 5k, and the tires are wearing evenly, so I don't have any idea why they're so prone to going out of balance.

These are awsome tires. Well worth the money if you are looking for that tire that will give you a smooth quite ride and still have plently of traction for off road. This tire has the best of both. Highly recommended!

Excellent tire! It does cost more but is well worth it. Had these tires put on last June and have since driven many trips to Northern Michigan and once to Texas. They are quiet on the highway and perform well on my gravel road as well.

Drive a Tahoe 4x4 with 186K, not a suburban. Had these about 6 weeks now and just finishing a trip to Pennsyslvania, Deleware, and Maryland from Texas. Tires seem to be about as quite as the LTX MS they replaced. Don't do much off road driving but didn't like the thread pattern on the new MS2 and didn't want a really aggressive tread. Haven't driven much off road, but on the road they are quiet and run smooth. Don't suspect they'd be very good in mud but I really bought them for the rocky terrain in west Texas and Arizona. Only concern I have is the wet traction as I've engaged the antilock brake system a couple of times on wet roads. Based on my experience so far, would definitely buy them again.

I was a little skeptical about paying the higher price that comes with this tire. However, receiving our first Michigan blast of snow last night (10in.) I can say that these tires are worth the extra money.
I have taken several family trips with these tires and quickly noticing how well they preform on the highway, quiet and smooth. So, I thought to my self, "Could an all terrain tire that seems so perfect on the highway truly handle gravel county roads that haven't been plowed. It all came to fruition this morning. While everyone else dreaded the drive to work today, I was thoroughly enjoying it.
If you are looking for a great large SUV tire that is competent on the highway, and tough enough to venture to areas where you truly need that 4 wheel drive capability, look no farther and don't worry about spending a few extra $. Trust me, there worth it!

Awsome tires I switched from Goodyear MTRs on my F150 FX4 The ride and traction difference on the Hwy where unbelivable. Not as good off road as the MTRs but for the pavement they are great.

I drive in seven southwest states for my job and travel all year. Through mountains, flat land, heat, rain, snow, and ice, this tire has surpassed my expectaions.
With 82,000 miles now on this set, I am finally having to replace them. In 37 years of driving, I have never had a set of tires that performed as well as these have. Whether towing my 7,000lb trailer or running empty, I have always had full control. They run quiet, smooth, and do not hydroplane.

Now that I have driven 55,000 miles on these tire, on the highway, city, and on construction sites, I can absolutely state that this is THE BEST tire I have ever had on a full size SUV. Great traction in mud on jobsites, no hydroplanning, great tractio on highway, great traction on wet roads, and very quiet. I was concerned with the agressive tread design and the noise that might accompany the tire, but they have been excellent because they make no noise. I like the tire so much I am putting them on all lmy company trucks. Great Tire!
